The Judging Process

The National Adventure Awards employ a two staged judging process.  Firstly all nominations will be assessed and a shortlist of nominees per category drawn up and announced.  Nominees will only be judged on the category or categories they have been nominated for.

The shortlists will be judged by all of the judging panel with results in all categories announced at our awards ceremony on 16th March.

Additionally, all shortlisted nominees will be entered into a public vote, with the winner decided by the public.  Whoever receives the most votes will win.

Judges will be looking for evidence of quality, integrity and overall excellence.  In general terms, all nominees (for all categories) should display a minimum of two of  three from the following criteria :

1.  Physical Challenge

2.  Cultural Interaction

3.  An element of risk

In addition to this they will be assessed with consideration to the specific category for which they have been nominated.

Judges must declare any interest they have in any submitted entries and they will not be involved in judging a category in which they have a conflict of interest.  In the event of a tie the chair of the judging panel will have the casting vote.

Entrants, and shortlisted nominees will be informed by 1st December 2015, with winners announced on 16th March 2016
